Along the Lake Front

What is your favorite place to go in your city?

My city sits among the mountains on the shore of a beautiful ancient lake.  Eighth largest natural freshwater lake in the US and she’s a beauty. The waterfront includes a well established park with walking and biking paths, marina, ferry terminal, restaurants, and a wonderful natural science museum.  It’s is within walking distance of downtown and the train depot and served by public transit.  The city and park are busy focal points for residents, college students, and tourists.  It’s a lovely place to while away a sunny day, enjoy music and festivities, and show off to out of towers.

However, the waterfront is pretty much a 3 season venue and can be ruthless come winter, so a winter favorite has to be on the list.  It’s hard to choose from a short list of shops, libraries, museums, galleries, and pubs.  I’m a big fan of the university campus with a large library, art & history museum, theater, academic events, and places to eat.

I love living in this vibrant lakeside city surrounded by countryside and many outdoor opportunities.   I’ve raised my family here, had an excellent career and many dear friends.
